ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR ADMISSION TO SELF FINANCING
EXECUTIVE MBA PROGRAMME (2005-2006)
ELIGIBILITY
Any graduate from a recognized University / Institute with a minimum of 2 years’ work experience. Candidates with professional degrees such as CA, CS, ICWA etc. will also be considered for admission.
No. of Seats : 48
Reservation : 12% - ST, 08% - SC.
SELECTION PROCEDURE :
a. Selection will be made by giving 60% weightage to the candidates’ past academic performance, (i.e., career up to degree level) and 40% for work experience.
b. Formula for calculating career marks :
HSC : 1st Division - 12
2nd Division - 09
3rd Division - 06
PU/Intermediate/+2 :
1st Division - 18
2nd Division - 14
3rd Division - 10
Graduation/+3 :
Total Marks Secured
Maximum Marks Appeared
N.B. : Career marks for graduation/+3 shall be calculated on flat basis irrespective of Honours, Pass, Distinction, ancillary and foundaion courses.
c. Formula for calculating Work Experience :
i. 4 marks shall be given for each completed year of experience subject to a maximum of 10 years.
ii. Viva-voce may be conducted at the discretion of the departmental admission committee/staff council.
In case the viva-voce is held, the distribution of weightage shall be (career 60%, experience 30% and viva-voice 10%)
HOW TO APPLY:
Admission forms can be obtained from the P.G. Central Office, Sambalpur University, Jyoti-Vihar, Burla, Dist. Sambalpur (Orissa) PIN- 768019 from 25.5.2005 during office hours on working days in person on payment of Rs.400/- in cash or by post on payment of Rs.475/- by crossed Bank Draft drawn in favour of the Chairman, P.G. Council, Sambalpur University and payable at SBI, Jyoti-Vihar Branch (Code No. 6672) or UCO Bank, A-Katapali Branch (Code No. 0710) along with an application on plain paper addressed to the Administrative Officer, P.G. Central Office, Sambalpur University. A self addressed envelope of size 13”x 8” is to be enclosed along with the application. INDIAN POSTAL ORDER AND BANK DRAFT DRAWN ON ANY OTHER BANK WILL NOT BE ENTERTAINED. The last date of issue of application form is 23.6.05 upto 1 PM.
LAST DATE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION:
Application form filled in all respect by the applicant must reach the “Co-ordinator, Executive MBA Programme, Deptt. of Business Administration, Sambalpur University” on or before 23.6.05 upto 4.00 PM along with all required documents.
Course Fee Payable: Rs. 50,000/-
Rs. 20,000/- at the time of admission and Rs. 6,000/- each in the beginning of 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th semester.
