Besides, consultancy work on honorary basis is done by Prof. P.K. Tripathy, Dr. S.S. Rath and Sri B. Mishra.

Besides the teachers of the Department are engaged in independent research work in collaboration with such centres like the UNDP, (Bhubaneswar Office), Center for Development Studies, Trivendum, University of East Anglia, Center for Social and Economics Studies, Hyderabad, and different Government department, such as Revenue department, Finance department and Planning and Coordination department, different Voluntary Organisations such as Lok Drusti, CYSD etc.
